i hope you will hang out with me some, i am aternately filled with hope and despair on my own state and the state of the church as a whole. i am sure at times i may sound like a bit of a whiny baby, but such is the current season.
for my first blog on the new site i grabbed one from the refuge that is the best overview to what is to be found here. we have deleleted all the comments from all the blogs that we transferred over, so if you don’t see your comment that is why.

This is amazing that you have come up with this blog. I may just be the queen of sh**ty christians. All my life I have been dogged so much that I just ultimately fail at everything. I want so badly to be loved by God and christian people but I get put down made fun of and judged so much that I never quite get it right and the worst part about it I blame most christians for it. My parents, siblings, friends, pastor all of them have in one way or another made me feel like a crappy christain so I just gave them what they expected of me. Now for some reason I cannot seem to believe anything better for myself. So this is me Queen Crappy Christian nice to meet you!!!!

WOW !! does this mean I don’t have to believe that God has mandated guns, guts, George Bush, and Dick Cheney to trigger the rapture???
Are there really other crappy Christians out there?

Karl, this is amazing. I too am a crappy christian and have been searching for something that will help me understand who I am. The really amazing thing is I found this and I am pretty sure you are the same Karl Wheeler from Pomona High School. You are actually the one who helped me become a christian in 1977 and were truly a great friend. Hope to hear back from you. Laura
